Clara Govier, Managing Director

What you will do as Senior Salesforce Developer

This role can be based in Amsterdam or Edinburgh

Introduction

As a Senior Salesforce Developer, you’ll play a key role in shaping and evolving the Salesforce ecosystem of the Postcode Lottery Group. You’ll take technical ownership of complex Salesforce solutions, guide architectural decisions and help the organisation scale in a sustainable and future-proof way.

Working with international teams, you’ll combine deep Salesforce expertise with a strong sense of purpose — every solution you build contributes directly to the charities we support.

This is an international role, which means occasional travel to other Postcode Lottery Group offices may be required.

As a Senior Salesforce Developer, you’ll:

  • Take end-to-end ownership of Salesforce solutions across our international Salesforce landscape (e.g. Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud).
  • Design and implement scalable and secure architectures, balancing custom development (Apex, LWC) with declarative Salesforce capabilities.
  • Act as a technical advisor to product owners, architects and business stakeholders, translating complex business needs into robust Salesforce solutions.
  • Lead complex integrations using REST APIs, middleware and event-driven patterns, ensuring data integrity and performance.
  • Define and safeguard development standards, best practices and governance within the Salesforce domain, while driving improvements in CI/CD, DevOps and release management.
  • Coach and support other developers through code reviews, knowledge sharing and technical guidance, while identifying opportunities to leverage new Salesforce features and innovations.

You’d describe yourself as follows:

  • You have a university degree and significant experience in a Senior Salesforce Developer or Salesforce Technical Lead role.
  • You have deep hands-on expertise in Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, integrations and data modelling.
  • You have experience architecting and developing solutions in a multi-country org setup, ensuring shareability and optimised usability while meeting country data privacy and governance needs.
  • You have a strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, security and performance optimisation.
  • You are comfortable influencing decisions in a complex, international matrix organisation and communicate confidently with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • You proactively identify risks, opportunities and improvements and take ownership to act on them. Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, automated testing, DevOps practices and Salesforce certifications is a strong plus.
