What you will do as Data Management Specialist


Please note that this role can be based in our Edinburgh, Stockholm or Amsterdam office. Interviews will be held after the Christmas Holiday, in the beginning of January.

Embark on our journey
The Postcode Lottery Group is building an Data and Analytics department to provide our lotteries with the right models, tools, tech, and best-practices to help realize our growth ambition. In this hub you will be working together with business representatives to identify value adding business cases for advanced statistical analytics. You will be working on exciting and challenging BI, data & AI projects that create real impact for the lotteries and our beneficiary organizations.

How you will make a difference
The Data Management Specialist is responsible for collecting, processing, and analyzing data to support informed decision-making within the group. This role ensures that data-driven approaches are effectively integrated into the group’s processes and that robust data management practices underpin operational and strategic initiatives.

Reporting directly to the Group Data Management Lead, you will play a key role in implementing data management and governance frameworks, collaborating with Business Analysts and stakeholders to ensure data quality and usability across all relevant use cases. You will help shape the group’s data capability by embedding best practices and driving continuous improvement in data processes.

This is what you will do

  • Conduct data management analysis for use cases: Perform activities such as data cataloguing, business definition capture, and data quality assessment in collaboration with Business Analysts.
  • Support governance implementation: Assist the Senior Data Management Specialist in rolling out data management and governance frameworks across the organization.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders: Work closely with Business Analysts and business teams to understand data requirements for various use cases.
  • Perform data analysis: Analyze data sources relevant to defined use cases, ensuring accuracy and consistency.

About you

Qualifications

  • In-depth understanding of data management principles and practices.
  • Experience with data management tools for metadata, data quality, and master data.
  • Proven ability to implement data management frameworks and design business data processes.
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills — able to explain complex data concepts clearly.
  • Ability to address and solve data-related challenges pragmatically.
