What you will do as Data Demand Owner


Please note that this role can be based in our Edinburgh, Stockholm or Amsterdam office. Interviews will be held after the Christmas Holiday, in the beginning of January.

Embark on our journey

The Postcode Lottery Group is building an Data and Analytics department to provide our lotteries with the right models, tools, tech, and best-practices to help realize our growth ambition. In this hub you will be working together with business representatives to identify value adding business cases for advanced statistical analytics. You will be working on exciting and challenging BI, data & AI projects that create real impact for the lotteries and our beneficiary organizations.

How you will make a difference

The Data Demand Owner is responsible for ensuring that data-related demands across the organization are prioritized, tracked, and delivered effectively. This role guarantees that data initiatives align with strategic objectives, resource availability, and compliance standards, enabling transparency and operational excellence.

Reporting directly to the Group lead Value, delivery & change, you will manage the intake and prioritization of data requests, oversee delivery progress, and collaborate with stakeholders to turn business requirements into actionable data solutions. You will play a key role in optimizing processes, and supporting analytics initiatives across multiple markets.

This is what you will do:

  • Prioritize and manage data & analytics demands: Lead the intake and prioritization of data-related requests, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and available capacity.
  • Align demand to strategic objectives and available capacity.
  • Oversee data projects: Monitor delivery progress, communicate status updates, and ensure timely completion of initiatives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders: Work closely with business and technical teams to capture clear, value driven demand requests and translate them into actionable specifications.
  • Identify risks and bottlenecks: Proactively escalate delivery risks and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Support planning cycles: Provide insights for quarterly and annual planning based on demand trends and capacity.
  • Enable transparency: Develop dashboards and reporting mechanisms to track demand, progress, and resource allocation.

About you

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Management, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, portfolio management, and project delivery principles.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills to engage cross-functional teams.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to assess value, effort, and dependencies.
  • Comfortable working in agile or hybrid delivery environments.
  • Experience managing data initiatives and collaborating with technical and business stakeholders.
