Job Purpose

The main purpose of the role is to develop and direct the implementation of the marketing strategy and integrated campaigns across all media channels. The individual must be able to engage and develop their team in a motivating environment.

Role Summary

We are seeking an accomplished and experienced Deputy Head of Marketing to join our team in Edinburgh.  This is an ambitious team with a strong proven record of achieving outstanding results.   We need a driven individual that is passionate about promoting People’s Postcode Lottery as a likeable and attractive charity lottery to play. The team deliver high volume in a high speed environment, we need someone with a strong strategic focus backed by sound understanding and experience across all Marketing channels.   The successful applicant will be an experienced manager to support the Head of Marketing in leading a team of seventeen, working across multiple channels and creative.

Key activities and responsibilities:

  • Support the Head of Marketing in management and representation of the Marketing Department
  • Support the Head of Marketing in shaping the strategy to deliver overall business growth targets
  • Ensuring compliance and governance within all Marketing outputs
  • Coordination of acquisition campaign delivery across all media channels
  • Ensuring continual opportunities for Marketing Management team development
  • Ensure Marketing compliance and License conditions are adhered to across all outputs
  • Supporting Head of Marketing in license and accreditartion audits 
  • Ensure visibility and insights into business performance is delivered with the Business Intelligence team
  • Working closely with external agencies maintaining efficiencies and positove working relationships
  • Work in partnership with the Communications department to ensure synergy with the Marketing strategy
  • Attend Senior Management Team commitments in the absence of Head of Marketing
  • Support Head of Marketing with Trustee meetings and other internal presentations

Required Skills

  • Relevant experience in Senior Marketing Management
  • Experienced in multi-channel proposition management, campaign coordination and deliver with a comprehensive understanding of creative processes
  • You will have worked in fast moving environment with multiple deliverables
  • Experience of a target driven, fast paced environment
  • Proven record of leading and inspiring a team through change
  • Have a solid understanding of the Advertising regulation framework
  • Required to apply and be accepted to hold a Personal Management Licence with the Gambling Commission

Additional Information

Whilst the core hours of the role will be 37.5 hours per week, worked Monday – Friday 9am – 5:30pm, working out with these hours will be required around event times, where necessary time will be given in lieu.
