Charities are at the heart of the organisation and this position is crucial in helping to deliver the wide- ranging, exciting and incredible work funded by our players. Working with operational responsibilities for the management of the grants including review and monitoring programmes in the fields of Equality, Education and Human Rights and general International Development. You will ensure that, as part of the third largest private charity funder in the world, we play our part on the international stage. Our impact is focused on four keys areas; collaboration, capability, capacity and leverage. We are a true partner to our charities and our relationship is far more than just funding. You will have knowledge and understanding of the not-for-profit sector both in Great Britain and internationally to anticipate where we should award our players’ funds next and understand where we could add value. It’s crucial that you have a positive approach and the ability to lead discussions at the highest level. While we always will safeguard our players’ funds, we also won’t shy away from being ambitious, innovative and unique in the way we fund. You will need to embrace and contribute to this approach. Reporting to the Senior Programme Manager, this year funds raised by our players for charities are anticipated to increase. With this growth comes greater responsibility. We are committed to ensuring that our players remain connected with the causes they help support. As a funder, we also remain faithful to our funding principles and ensure that we are an enlightened partner in our efforts to make the world a better place for people and planet. As a part of the Charities Team, you must be able support your direct colleagues as well as ensure that the whole Postcode Lottery team remains passionate about what we do and why we do it. This is an exciting time in the charities team. The right candidate will have experience in account management and a clear understanding of the charity sector, you must be able to learn quickly and be able to adapt to the demands of this role. Whilst a general knowledge in International Development is important, we are keen to hear from those with both formal and informal experiences of Development.
